Face-Lift/ Vector TIGHTENing Your SKIN WITH our choice of THREADS
Say goodbye to loose and sagging skin around the cheeks and jowls with a PDO Thread Lift. Until recently, the only way to address problems caused by facial skin laxities – such as jowls and drooping cheeks – was with facelift surgery. A thread lift is one of the most effective ways to lift loose skin without surgery. As we age, the effects of gravity become more noticeable on our faces, especially as our facial support structure weakens and we lose facial fat which causes a square-shaped, older-looking face.
Now, you can effectively lift, contour and suspend the sagging tissues on the face, neck, and body, especially for those that need only minimal to moderate rejuvenation or for those that do not wish to undergo surgical intervention, with a PDO Thread Lift.

BENEFITS OF OUR PDO THREADS
NovaThreads are hypodermic needles preloaded with a PDO absorbable suture. A few reasons patients love this treatment include:
- Natural results
- No surgery
- No pain
- Lunchtime procedure
- Uncontested for neck and jawline (but not limited to these areas)
- PDO sutures are one of the safest materials that can be used in the body
- All sutures are FDA-approved
- Your skin fully absorbs the NovaThread within 4-6 months without leaving any scar tissue*
- Long-lasting – typically lasts for up to 2-3 years*
Loose skin is no match for a PDO Thread Lift which effectively lifts and restores tightness to loose skin.
What is a PDO Thread Lift?
Nowadays, you can achieve the effects of a facelift with a minimally invasive procedure called the PDO Thread Lift. The PDO refers to polydioxanone, a synthetic material that is used to make sutures or threads that are absorbed by your body.
In a PDO Thread Lift, threads or sutures are placed deep into your skin where they have 3 main effects:
Creating an instant facelift as the threads pull the skin upwards towards the top of your head
Stimulate the natural production of collagen which restores the structure and suppleness of the skin
Tighten the skin by contracting your facial fat tissues

What Areas Can Be Treated?
A PDO Thread Lift can be performed virtually anywhere on the body. The most common areas for a PDO Thread Lift include:
- Upper and lower cheeks
- Foreheads
- Brow lift
- Eyebrow lift
- Cat eye
- Jawline, neck
- Naso-labial folds (nose to mouth lines)
- Marionette lines (corners of the mouth)
- Arms
- Buttocks
- Abdomen
- Thighs
- Around the knees
While NovaThreads can be inserted almost anywhere, one area where they are most effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with Botox or injectable fillers which are more effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively.

How It Works
It’s amazingly simple actually! During a PDO Thread Lift, threads, which have small cones/graspers on them, are passed under the skin via a needle. The cones grab hold of the skin from the undersurface and pull to re-suspend the skin in a lifted more youthful position.
In addition to being ideal for lifting the skin, threads combat aging in another way – by providing the body’s “healing response” or “selective inflammatory response” and causing the body to direct large surges of collagen to treated areas. This is important because of the vital role collagen plays in the aging process. Collagen helps support “growth factors” that keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple.
The “selective inflammatory response” is the principle behind a lot of aesthetic procedures such as fractional laser, chemical peels, and micro-needling. Our skin is very good at repairing itself and by inserting NovaThreads we make it heal itself by creating new collagen, naturally.
About 6 months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear through simple hydrolysis (they are absorbable). The lifted facial contours remain for about 3-6 months more due to the cellular rejuvenation effects.
No Cuts or Incisions- Our Techniques Speak for Themselves!
Interlace vs Vector-Lift
The first one, called the interlacing, consists of creating a tightening web underneath the skin similar to the appearance of a net or # (hashtag). This interlace serves as the foundation for new collagen production and tightens the skin naturally from within. You will see results appear naturally while firming the skin.
Our Vector-Lift can produce a more dramatic and immediate results. These suture threads have “barbs” or “cogs” that grip beneath the skin. Wit our Vector-Lift Technique, sutures are inserted and pulled in directions which allows for instant skin repositioning depending on your unique landmarks. Similar to the interlace, your body begins generating new collagen which secures the lift.
Restoring the V-Shape
Beautiful, healthy faces have a “V-shape”. Over time, due to the aging of our facial tissues and the action of gravity, the “V-shape” diminishes or inverts. With our lifting techniques, we are creating a scaffolding that supports the tissues to keep them in the “V-shape” or delicately lift the tissues to reposition the skin to recreate the “V-shape” where it has been lost.
When Will I See Results?
With a Thread Lift, you see an immediate visible lift in the areas treated. Over a period of 2-6 months*, this will improve as new collagen grows between the threads and gives further lift and tightening to the skin. After about 6 months, the threads dissolve but the resulting lift remains.

What are the Advantages of a Thread Lift at Diamond Works Medspa?
For most patients, the biggest advantage of having a thread lift instead of a facelift is the shorter recovery time and the fact that it doesn’t require surgery.
With facelift surgery, the patient must be heavily sedated, arrange for someone to drive him/her home from the hospital, and most require assistance around the clock for the 3 days following the surgery. Additionally, most patients usually need to take 1-2 weeks off work in order to heal*.
Recovery from our Thread Lift, on the other hand, is comparatively easy. Our Thread Lifts can be done with local anesthesia meaning patients can drive themselves home immediately following the procedure. While some patients experience a little bit of soreness, redness, and swelling after having a thread lift, most can return to work immediately.
PDO Thread Lifts are also low-risk thanks to how noninvasive they are. There is virtually no risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding or other complications. And finally, because thread lifts are much easier to perform than facelift surgery, they are much more affordable.
