What comprises Restylane®?
Restylane® is made from biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA). It’s a naturally-occurring substance found in all living organisms. In Restylane®, it is focused as a dermal filler to restore volume and fullness to the skin.
Is there any down or recovery time?
One of the best parts about Restylane® fillers is that there is zero downtime. You’re free to stop by our office during your lunch break or while you’re out running errands to meet with us for your appointment. You can then go on about your day without any need for recovery time.
How many treatments will I need?
In just one procedure, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of Restylane®!
How long does the procedure take?
The entire procedure only takes about 15 to 30 minutes to complete. It’s a great filler for first-time patients who may be wary of injections. It’s a long-lasting and quick treatment that produces incredible, natural-looking results.
How long does Restylane® last?
While it varies from person to person, most Restylane® fillers last up to 18 months in the nasolabial folds, 12 months in the cheeks, and six months in the back of the hands and facial wrinkles and folds. This allows you to get one procedure done and not have to worry about changing your schedule around your procedures.
Are there any side effects?
Like most injections and fillers, the side-effects of Restylane® are rare. Some patients have experienced swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, slight pain, and itching at the injection site. However, these side effects tend to go away on their own after a few days. If you are experiencing anything more severe, contact your doctor.
How does Restylane® work?
Similar to other injectables, Restylane® fillers work by relaxing the muscles beneath your skin, alleviating wrinkles, aging lines, and other effects.
